What's the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist?

They use their understanding of the mind and how this can impact behaviors and emotions to identify the right type of talking therapy to treat mental health conditions.

Psychiatrists are doctors who deal with the medical aspects of critical mental health conditions. Most psychiatric disorders require hospitalization, and includes major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and borderline personality disorder (VA). Therefore, psychiatric assessments cannot be conducted online.
